There once was a girl in white
Who froze in the darkness of the night.
She blinded herself in the light
And couldn’t tell which way was right.

There once was a girl in yellow
Who gave her heart to a greedy fellow.
He left her alone in his cage too mellow
And pleasured himself by not letting her go.

There once was a girl in blue
Whose soul had been split in two.
The battle was lost and nothing ever grew
So far, far and away, she flew.

There once was a girl in red
Who lied and worshipped the dead.
She hunted others without dread
And took the fruit and broke the bread.

Then there was a girl in silver
She saw the world through a shameless filter.
She heard the song and saw the glitter
So she whispered and laughed in front of the mirror.
