Colors

Brown is homely yet strangely utilitarian.
Grey is cold but doesn’t hurt your bones.
Green can say anything it wants to.
Blue is cheerfully melancholy.
Red is fairly human, but not the most.
Pink is fuzzy and soft.
Black is a blank sleight
that can brighten other colors in contrast or swallow them whole.
Yellow always says “hello,” yet keeps its distance.
Orange always smells good, even when the rest of the world doesn’t.
