Colors

When you look at it any other way
The beast will change
From shadow and crimson
To the silhouette of a nimbus cloud

When you think of it any other time
The lost thought is found
From within it is taken
To the silhouette of the cloud

When you relate to me any other way
The white becomes gray
From black night to clear day
To the silhouette of the sky

For your conscience can't fake justice
Nor can your apathy hide
The lusterless, loveless
Pitiful tide
Of your wails and your railing
The scream
I can't be failing
The chant
You can't be failing ME

When you change to grey you see
All that YOU is ME
When you lose your colors then you pledge
All your life to fighting death
