Colors

There once was a boy
Who only saw white
Plain and boring
Even through the night

The sun shines in white
No beauty to be seen
How pale the world was
Nothing like a dream

But the boy was used to no color
Wasn't bothered by the light
Because that was all he'd seen
Everything was white

But then he met a girl
A rebel instead
She shined a different color
The color of red

The boy was astounded
The new color was a surprise
His heart beat out of time
Grew three times its size

And the boy and girl fell in love
Like any old fairytale ending
White mixed with red
More colors were ascending

The world was no longer bleak
What an interesting view
The two shared their colors to the world
And created something new
