Columbine

Beyond the eye
The sunlit window
The lush, emerald fields
The golden horizon
The mosaic cosmos
The edge

Greatness lies within a colossal of nil
Nothing
To hold no existence
Where no beauty, ugly, happiness, or sadness are present
What a heavenly body of absolute emptiness

The madness that stirs within my head
I wish it gone
The twinge in my ivory bones
Disappear for all time
And my throbbing, black and blue heart
May it slow its pace and rest

I will not wait but
Venture through the ordinary
Seek tranquility and the enigmatic
For there is no other purpose
But to endeavor across the great divide
