Comfort Zone

As heavy as a feather
As idle as the sea
We choke on preconceptions
Of all that we must be

The string that we've untangled
The knots are nearly out
But still the ends are fraying
As we're suppressed by doubt

For ages they've been saying
To fall before you fly
But each of us fears jumping
And no one here knows why

So we remain here stranded
With each and every day
We preach what we can't practice
And kill what we can't save
