Commanding Attention with Silence

You can lie to me, but you're only lying to you.
I can see it in your face; you crave their approval too
For the same reasons we have not
but does that really matter with the name of the game.
Attention! Attention! Cry one, cry all
With only room for one, it turns to a brawl.
As I stand back and watch the violence ensue,
All eyes turn to me as I am askew--
The one who is not fighting for I have not laid a hand.
They shout, they shout, "She has figured it out!"
The lesson here is to observe the situation at hand.
For to get caught up in the moment is to never command.
