Compassion

Why can't you see me
And not assume that's who I want to be
I show it with pride
But not for the full ride
I wear it for the compassionate ones
Not the disrespectful stuns
We all do terrible things
Till the fates cut our life strings
Separated by straights and race
Instead of staring at people in the face
To us that person is not
But a useless mistake tied in a knot
God sees everyone the same
Does not judge for any game
You are special in every way
Skin, race, straight or gay
And if you haven't heard this today
I love you so please stay
