Concrete Blocks

Never knew the meaning,
Never understood the cause,
I'm here contemplating on why I deserve an applause;
When the loneliness overwhelms...
and the worms start to eat you up before you buried,
Something like disaster happens
In my mind, in my being,
I forgot how to believe.
Maybe because my mind got color-blind,
Only recognizing green.
Wishing it was a bad dream,
Forgetting the schemes,
I was born with enemies,
Born a fiend,
Always seeking the next hit,
Wanting a hero,
No such thing.
Not in this life, not by my side,
Maybe just not in my life.
No fairytale.
Just the realness, the coldness;
Raised on concrete parks,
Bruises still fading away from the hard knocks,
Feet still weary from the long walks,
its like i never knew my place, imagine that?
Nothing realer than being raised on concrete blocks
