Confronting the Shadows

Slipping out of sight my faith is renewed,
I now understand the cries of my shadows.
To let them go I know what I must do,
listen closely and confront what I have feared to loose.
I stand in formation with the creatures I once considered enemies.
Confronting the masses I feel I can not kill my memories.
The time has arrived to set my pass go.
Casting my shadows away, only to let new ones grow.
In this valley I once saw as damned,
my determination allows me to stand a new man.
Looking back it is hard to explain.
Many nights here I have questioned if I was sane.
I leave my companions with no good bye.
I welcome new memories to enter my life.
My thoughts are no longer of confusion.

I have reached my awaiting horizon,
This time I am ready.
