Pride builds like bricks, crashes too,
Smashes images previously cherished,
Cerise lenses block truth for rush.
Pride as motivation builds walls around.
Pride as result found hidden doors.
Defensive or defenestrate:
Your choice.
Meanwhile green growing plants grasp
Not gasping but adding oxygen to the air.
They humbly cheer for water.
The kitchen hides helpful knives away.
Self-motivations are other-pollinated,
A field suddenly brashly blooming, yet
Unadvertised looming knew it all along.
We cave toward comfort
Climbing out only later,
And anything scary is probably
Also worthwhile
(And direly needed.)
