In the mix of deciding, right or wrong
i contemplate which way i’ll go...

I'll play a great poker hand
one that shouldn't lose
but somehow i lost anyway,
and the bad hands that i bluff at
brings me a day of pay.

i try to do good for others
but my efforts end up wrong
and mistakes i’ve made
that i know were wrong —
have ended up being right,

none of it makes any sense.

so how do i know
which path i should choose?
confused in my troubled mind.

I guess it doesn't make a difference
no matter which way i go,
so i'll let the chips fall as they may
accepting what comes along.
