Conniving Confederate

So here I find myself again
Looking into the broken shackles of my contemptuous being
Grasping at what I once thought
Reflected the monster I was redeeming
As these catatonic grey skies
Make lightning blind my now insomniac eyes
I grow blind to the sense of perfection
I bestowed on my own redemption
The world passes by
Each gravel being thrown into the sea of excruciating sorrow
They tell me to idolize
And to be idolized
When the leaders of our once dignified world
Lead humanity to the future of despise
I refuse to let ambition win
To let the dreams you feed us decide the potential within
For I will awaken the fight inside
And let it roar in the darkest sunlight
Victory lies behind these grin plastered lips
Another endless night of surreal violence
And we’ll stand here
Wishing for a better world in the wake of unforgiving silence Sanity and selfishness seldom walk apart
And that is what will lead me to my uneclectic start
