Cool Girl

I wanna be your cool girl
Be one of the boys
Slam back beers
And call out girls being coy

I wanna be your cool girl
Never get jealous or angry
Won't wonder about that woman
When you wrap your arms 'round her belly

I wanna be your cool girl
Not attach meaning to sex
Keep words to a minimum
And put my feelings to rest

But I can't be your cool girl
'Cause my passion burns like fire
My desires are transparent -
I want to be the only one you admire

I won't be your cool girl
I wanna know where I stand
I won't be a toy to a boy
If I can have a man take my hand

And I'll never be your cool girl
Because the "cool girl" doesn't exist
It's just a trope that molds women
Into something men apparently can't resist.
