Corona Stress

Corona Stress

Corona virus soared,
The day the world closed its doors,
Spreading like a wildfire,
Spinning out of control.

Stores ran out of supplies,
Delivery was the norm,
People hid in their homes,
Like waiting for a storm,

Social circles contract,
Technology expands,
Global connections hide,
Alienation inside.

The Healthcare workers rule,
From a pulpit or a stool,
While powerless patients,
Wait, anxious for their fate.
