Coronavirus

It was a cold and windy night,
People awaiting the New Year in delight.
Some had hopes, some had egos,
None knew what the future held in limbo.

Things were changing for the worse,
A coronavirus had erupted like a curse.
Humans were stumped before they could act,
The world order was disturbed by its impact.

Some lost jobs, some lost lives,
Hope was replaced by negative vibes.
The human ego was brutally crushed,
And a fight for survival emerged.

Only global unity and a will to win,
Is the solution for our sin.
This too will pass, we all know,
But we need to prepare for future blow.

Caring for humanity and respecting nature,
Is the lesson to sustain our future.
If we can win over the virus within,
Pandemic like coronavirus will go into a tailspin.
