Coronavirus Thoughts

Companionship is handicapped because
relationships aren't free.
One tries to not commingle needlessly
but given these constraints
Restrictions limit everyone's routines
however nice they'd be.
Opportunities to be wined and dined are few,
even with a patron saint.
Nightlife's become for most a memory,
unfit for any spree.
And few dare travel to reach distant shores
no matter how divine.
Vehicles once so active now are garaged
and don't help one sightsee.
In readiness for getting on the path
that leads one to cloud nine
Restrictions having been at last removed
we'll have some liberty
Us dedicated loners then can take charge
and choosing what to see
Step back into a world we'd near forgot.
