Her autumn soul
vibrant orange, fiery red
while my winter heart
froze and broke and bled.

I fell in love at dawn.
Would I live to see the sunrise?
We lay on the grass as it grew light
on a field under vast open skies.

She revolved around the sun
and I revolved around her.
I spun and she spun
and the world was a blur.

The universe seems to pull,
an inescapable gravity on our souls
in a cosmic sea of stars and comets
and planets and black holes.
