Cotton Candy Mama

My little one came home from school one day
Just as happy as he could be
They had a little party with cakes and all the treats
But there was one thing special
He sure did like to eat,
He said, "Mama, it was good and they called it cotton candy"

Came home late from work one day
Found a note on the door
My little boy and his papa
Had gone to the store
It wasn't long before I heard,
Tiny footsteps down the hall
He handed me a package
That he was so proud of.

I opened it very carefully
And to my surprise
The prettiest robe I ever did see,
His eyes opened wide.
I tried it on, it fit just right,
He gave me a great big hug
He said, " Mama, I picked it out
And it feels just like cotton candy "
