Counterclockwise

Voices lingering in the shadows
Bright eyes illuminating the dark
A wild imagination
like paint haphazardly splattered on a wall
Curious
without knowing what that sacrifices
Bare feet on wet grass
running without being chased

Tonight we're kids again
simple and carefree
dancing without music
laughing with no jokes
swimming under the moonlight
goosebumps riddling our skin
slowly warming up by the fire's embers
sleeping under the stars
wondering what they have in store for us

Travel back in time
where the world made no sense
and we were okay with that
Where perfection was ignored
and happiness was all the mattered
