The sun is rising,
Gently drawing the blanket of darkness
Little by little off of the sleeping world.
"Wake up!" it seems to say,
As it kisses the drowsy earth and sky.
"Rise and shine!" it seems to add,
Sending its warm rays dancing across the land.
All across the fields, meadows, and forests
Life is stirring.
Animals are awakening to meet the day.
Trees and flowers sway in the breeze,
Waving hello to the cheery sun.
Sunlight sparkles off the crystal dew
That clings to the grass.
There is nothing so good, so lovely, so pure
As a fresh, brand new
