Covergirl

Am I the new cover girl?
Using makeup to hide everything that's inside
I don't believe in natural beauty
Without this makeup everyone can truly see me
Every make up I apply has a purpose
It hides my inner ugly and shows my outside beauty
This beauty is not skin deep.

The foundation to cover my inner pain
The eyeliner to blackened the red line under my eyes after my tears
The lip-gloss/lipstick to cover, shimmer and soften the filthy
and bruised lips of mine
The concealer to cover the black part under my eye caused by pain,
fear, tiredness and frustration
The mascara to make my eye look less fearful
and more flirtatious
And my favorite
The blush that soft sweet color to hide the bruises
from the slaps and punches that the world threw at me.

So I am the new cover girl
And now I can even contour to change the shape of my face
Just put on a dress and my highest heels
And I'm set to go
To show everyone my outside glow
My life is cover up
It just makes things seem
Easy, breezy, beautiful
Covergirl.
