So The Lockdown is here, you can smell the fear.
Streets empty, shops shut,
Everyone in need of a hair cut.
The vulnerable in isolation,
Panic spread throughout the nation.
Hand sanitiser rises to a million pound,
Throughout the shops no toilet roll found.
For corona has arrived, it’s grown and it’s thrived.
Many lives it has taken, many family’s shaken.
No swings in the park, this time is very dark.
No children out playing, lonely trees left swaying.
Parents trying to teach, whilst running round with bleach.
Jobs lost and businesses gone under, COVID 19 roaring like thunder.
With Masks on and two metres apart, people are hired to wash your shopping cart.
What has become of the life we once had,
The world is now COVID and this is quite sad.
