Insidiously, it spreads its wings
along a darkened, bloodied path;
then, surreptitiously it brings
the culmination of its wrath.

Its talons hold a solid clasp
upon its victims, far and wide.
(Oh, woe to those who know its grasp,
or feel its presence by their side!)

This arbitrary menace stalks
all living things, both young and old.
It has declared "fair game" all walks
of man, and flaunts its wicked hold.

How cruel an unseen virus is
that isolates the human race;
mandating fear throughout the world,
(and causing coverage of the face.)

Without mercy, Nature brings
such harm to Mankind's shortened span!
But now, the chilling question is,
"Will Covid-19 win, or Man?"
