Crescent Moon

Crescent moon shines on my shoulders
Reveals my footprints on a lonely shore
Cast away with nights growing colder
The ebbing tide is pulling me once more

Crescent moon please here my desire
Share it with the heavens and the stars
For today, please be my town crier
Shine my love within her crescent heart

Crescent moon, you were always the stranger
We lived the full moon never felt the dark
Every day was hope, love, and laughter
Our life as bright as every shining star

Crescent moon pass on the day
Shine full again to light her way
Lead her home to give us a new start
Waning moon wax my crescent heart
