Crickets

You are like the sun shining so bright
When you come around to me
You act like it is night
Mysterious, dark, and silent
But I still see the stars
Shining crystal clear
In your eyes and smile
I also hear crickets singing melodies
Soothing to my ears, almost like a dream
I wish I could solve the puzzle
With so many pieces missing, it's next to impossible
Like making a circle a square
Human without sin
Children without joy
Language with no words
The pieces slip out of my grasp
My mind begins to ache
The puzzle pieces fly out
Of my sweaty palms
But then, I hear crickets
Singing little songs
Puts my mind at ease
I see the stars
Back in your eyes
The mystery fades outside my conscious thoughts
Waiting for sunrise
