She’s looking for someone to hold
One whose bitterness she can fix and mold

To realize
That the most fascinating view is in her eyes

Someone to keep her up at night
To comfort her in hours of terror and fright

To cherish all that she does
Give her support, a little applause

So why don’t you go find that right now?
I'm not sure where, and I'm not sure how

My dear, if you wonder how and where
Later on in your life you will have gone nowhere

But what if I oppose the heartbreak
How do I avoid it when the day breaks?

What if being alone isn’t being alone
It’s a ticket to freedom, that you have been loaned

Use this time and use it well
For when someone makes you feel alive and puts you through hell

So when someone asks me “why not?” with uncertainty
I say: “with all my years of life, this is how I feel currently.”
