Daddy\’s Little Soldiergirl

His love for the Army gave him pride
Anything they asked, he would abide.
He's an American soldier through and through.
That, I know has always been true.

The day I joined, there was a look on his face
That nothing on this world could ever replace
It was the look of pride, the look of joy
Like a little boy with a new toy.

He told me he loved me and was proud of me
And to be All that I could ever be.
I took those words into my heart,
Never in my life to l let them depart.

That was the day of a new beginning.
A day that I started anew.
For, on that day, in a twist and a whirl,
I became Daddy's Little Soldiergirl.
