Dads Christmas Lights

What once seemed to be such a bother
and chore
Now it's a day I wish could be once
more
Lights of every color and shape we hung,
as Dad watched with great care
Theses were the days so unforgettable,
but you had to be there
Adults and kids often came to see the
lights, just off the main road
What seemed such a chore of days gone by,
now are days again,I would like to know
I often think of Dad and his love of Christmas,
and all those colored lights
Now I do as my dad once did, with a twinkle
in my eye
