Dandylions

Dandelions are my flower of freedom
They are a wild reminder of the lost days in Eden
They are full of life, but yet they cannot see why
Some can't see their beauty, but I don't have to try
They are always there to watch me at play
Sometimes I pick a hundred a day
Never to early, never to late
Better than roses for the first date
They let my imagination glow yellow and bright
They grow in the darkness and bask in the light
They protect me from fear and let me feel like a queen
My castle the fields where I reign and I sing
I try to keep my soul inside
In them I confide
I can tell them the truth, when to others I've lied
In the winter they are still in my mind
They are always with me
Even though,I left them behind
