Dark Poetry

When the moon sits high and shining bright.
I find respite, entwined in twilight's tender embrace.
Remembering the faces of the past
And other things long gone.
So speak to me in dark poetry
And tell me tales in twisted verse.
Converse with me with bittersweet words
And phrases unheard and unrehearsed.
Immerse ourselves in beautiful madness
Til sunlight fills the morning sky.
