Dark Truth

Beyond what lies in the shadow
A man’s heart laid bare
His breath cold as ice
And a sensation on every hair

His truth deep and disturbing
His lies soft and sweet
They keep his house in order
Fresh, nice and neat

Time lingers on
And the sweet lies rot
What remains is darkness
Perhaps he forgot

There he remembers
The man he once was
Because the darkness always remembers
And that is just cause
