Darkest Day

The sky unstitched, a mourning veil,
A shadow’s breath, the heavens pale.
A sun devoured in silent dread,
A crown of dusk where gold once bled.

The wind recoils, its whispers mute,
A dirge hummed soft by phantom flute.
The rivers still, their courses sever,
A clock unwound to tick forever.

Through fractured glass, reflections weep,
As light dissolves in currents deep.
The hands of fate in midnight spun,
Yet time denies the touch of sun.

A world eclipsed, a hollow throne,
A kingdom carved from spectered stone.
No dawn remains, no path to stray,
The world submits to darkest day.

This Poems Story

Theme: The death of hope, irreversible change. Meaning: This poem represents moments when light both literal and metaphorical is lost. It embodies grief, despair, or a turning point where nothing remains the same. The imagery of an eclipsed world suggests an irreversible fate, something akin to the end of an era or the loss of innocence.
