Darkest Winter

Crystal silence of a frigid night
And I walk alone.
I breathe the scent of bitter cold,
Lonely in the snow.
Whispers linger in the frozen air,
Just waiting for the dawn.
Father Time has gone to sleep
And I cannot move on.
Oh, darkest winter in my soul,
You cannot hold me here!
Tantalizing Crystalline –
A million frozen tears.
Oh, darkest winter in my heart,
More beautiful than spring!
Glittering Temptations, but –
True love, you’ll never bring.
