~Darkness Consumed~

Night falling down
As the day fades into black
The Sun descending in the west
One luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither
Wrong or right between stars on stars
Where no human race exists
I have it in me so much nearer home

With no expression, nothing to express
The loneliness includes me unaware
And the world comes revolving
Back to me and lonely as it is

That loneliness I had not learned
To let go with the shattered heart
That I can see the mind escaping me
To wish in vain to let go of sadness

It is time, strength, tone,
Light, life and love and even
Substances lapsing insubstantial
The universal cataract of death

That spends to nothingness
