Daughter

My rose
She wilts and corrodes
I put needle to leaf, and sew.

Now I weld together her limbs
With scissors, I trim
My kid

My girl
I watch her unfurl
As art I can show to the world

Interrupted by stitch, her scars
Her beauty is mar'd
My star

My sweet
Let evil retreat
As me-induced pain heals, I weep

Gone be her aura of senile
New, soft, and mild
My child

My rose
She wilts and corrodes
I put needle to leaf, and sew.
