Daughters

The balance of our society continues to totter
What is this world teaching to its daughters?
As concert halls turn to dance clubs
And shopping malls adapt to new trends
As push comes to shove
From all the above
We forget the meaning of love

We should teach the daughters to laugh and learn
We have to be gentle and sometimes stern
We must be a good example, we cannot fuss
Because the future world will be made from us

We have to teach them to make good choices
As we had been taught
We have to teach them to use their voices
How can we if we're not?

Daughters have to respect themselves
Make others do the same
Do not forget yourself
And know you have a name
