Dawn

A small tear begins in the world's fabric,
Behind which hope and surprise await,
Holding the promise of all possibilities,
Revealing the future, the day's fate.

Incensed in delicate delight,
Steeped in glowing glory,
The pale, pink sky opens up,
Revealing our history, our story.

Raw, tender and with great care,
I tiptoe across this quiet plain,
Taken by this pure holiness,
Fresh sunshine with a sprinkle of rain.

The creatures that so honor me,
By sharing this planetary bliss,
Sing to the ecstasy of existence,
A smile, a song, a kiss.

All has now begun anew,
Washed clean with the nightly storm,
And out of it life is reawakened,
The whole world is once again re-born
