Dawn

To the love of my life,
Where have you gone?
Surrounded I am in this void,
For there is darkness all around me

I have no need for a compass,
All signs point back to you.
The ray of sunshine you brought left with you,
Come back to me, my dear Dawn.

Twilight does not compare,
She is simply just tiresome.
Much like the deciduous trees of the harsh winter,
My vulnerably tormented mind is unable to move from you.

I wish I could say I was better,
But your presence is always missed.
They say the Night is darkest before the Dawn,
But how can I measure darkness in this abyss?
