Dawn

Hello there, little bluebird,
Your heart is bursting with a song
Each sunrise irradiates wonder
Hearing your joy after so long.

Salutations, graceful spider,
Your undertaking draped in dew
It sparkles like a thousand crystals
Your web now shines in perfect view.

Hello there, golden sunrise,
Splashed with orange, blue, and pink
Like a landscape on canvas
Waiting for us to stop and think.

Welcome, welcome, autumn’s breeze,
Summer heat has now moved on
I’m here sitting on my porch
Relishing the grace of dawn.

Goodbye now, tiny creatures,
To placid sunrise, to glinting dew
It’s time to start the day ahead
Refreshed, tranquil, spirits anew.
