Days Of Your Youth
When the time of your life is far out of touch
You don't know what you want but you need it so much.
So you follow the trends in which the cunning have set,
To join the masses of youth who all wait in line to drown in regret.
When main stream media and hollywood glamour
Promise forever then end in clamour,
The days of your youth are all used up
And the doors that were open Now all slammed shut.
When you find that you've got plenty of nothing left to lose,
And your no longer enslaved by the popular veiws.
When you've survied the storm that came swift without warn.
When you've broken the chain of the world's cares
That once ruled your every move and thought.
When your done fighting the battle so many have fought.
A whole new generation eagerly awaits,
Pushing and shoving for what lies behind
Those old flood gates.
