Dealing With “IT”

By

Because my spirits are really damp
I return again to my faithful camp
Where, once there, I try to make sense
Of the worldwide pandemic that has us tense
Our sense of normal is upside down
Over time many smiles have become a frown
So serious we are, that for every task
We need to don a dreaded mask
The mumbling and grumbling is getting loud
Being unable to go out and join the crowd
Within the economy there is much unrest
No work, no food, unpaid bills - not the best
Why should we shy away from a touch?
When for everyone - it would mean so much
Understandably all is done to protect everyone
But, it seems we have lost all that is fun
Staying connected would be a start
For this to end, we must all play a part
We need to wear the others shoe
To decide what is best for me and for you
In this case, one thing is for sure
It will take "United We Stand" for us to endure!
