Dear Child – A.J – Aaron James

I live to see your smile,
in the morning; my dear child.
And there's not a poem that I have written,
that my love for you could fit in.
But here's the thing ...
The moment I saw your head of hair ...
The moment I saw those eyes ...
was the moment that I was fully prepared
to be the mommy by your side.
You're growing and you're growing,
Oh so fast its showing.
As you speak funny stories,
in the dark, the flashlight's glowing.
And the light against your face,
makes me so amazed.
You know how to fill me up
with your love,
in the cutest ways.
