Dear Covid 19

Dear COVID 19 you took everything away from me.
I'm a young runner who had events planned.
Had a bright future with school and everything I do,
Did you have to be so mean?

Dear COVID 19 I feel like your out to get me.
Stripped me of having the things and people
held close to me.

Dear COVID 19 you've taken much from me, but not
my identity.

The truth is you not only affect me.
You've made some of us suffer and grieve, but as
you can see us humans are stronger than you think.
So dear COVID 19 soon you'll be history.
