Dear Dad

We got into a fight again
Everything was so peaceful, calm, serene
When did you get so mean?
Yelling so loud, no sass allowed
You have more mood swings than a playground
I love you, sit back down
You don’t understand, your weak
I’m older, don’t speak
When you say that I’m dumb
I try to be numb
I don’t mean to stutter.. um
Over the years, You’ve called me so many things
And yet, no matter how much time has passed, it still stings
