Dear Dad

I am me
Not who you want me to be.
I am me
Not just what you see.
I am me
I'm not you.
I'm not you
Who tries to control others.
I'm not you
who has the audacity to disrespect their mothers.
I'm not you
Who goes to run for cover.
This is freedom
And I get to be free.
I get to be free
because I control me.
I'm done with you and your poisonous lies
Can't you hear your own families cries?
Can't you see the pain you cause?
Breaking even privacy laws.
I can and will choose what I do,
And it's my choice if it's with or without you.
