Dear Death

Dear Death:

You are as beautiful as you are feared
yet to many you must be revered
Just, as the word itself you are described
no distinction is made no one is spared
so beautiful no more sorrow no more pain

There will come a day we can meet face to face
I shall not be afraid, as everyone has said
A beautiful moment when we can part ways
I will walk along your side, admiring your commission
I look for ways to understand your style
not knowing when my appointment has been filed

I will not feel the breeze of the morning no more
No more will the singing birds wake me up
I eagerly ponder what is on the other side
I have no more worries I am now numb
All I have now is silence wondering what is to come

I shall wait patiently here living day by day
please don't hurry, take your time
as for me I will enjoy everything in life
for when the time comes, I shall be ready
to part to the other side.
