God has placed you in my path to help brighten up my days and bring sunshine to my life.
You've encouraged me when I needed it most,
and have been my friend in my loneliest times.
You have helped me to believe and have faith
that everything would be alright.
You have walked with me and helped carry the burdens
that were so weighing me down.

My name is Rick B. Jimenez. I am forty-seven years old and live in Modesto, CA. A few years ago, I became inspired to write poems. I felt as though this was one of my gifts/talents God had given me to touch other people's lives by His inspiration in my writings. I wrote this poem on November 23, 2013, at 2:35 PM. This poem was written with a lot of emotion of gratitude for my mother for all she has done through the years to help brighten up my life. The inspiration to write this poem came to me as a result of my love and appreciation toward my mom for always being there for me as a true friend, especially in my loneliest moments of need and despair. She was there for me when my burdens were heavy and my faith was low. I would like to dedicate this poem to my mom, Maria C. Bacigalupi. I would also like to share this poem with the world so that anyone can share it with a special someone whom they love and appreciate.
