Dear Mom

Dear mom,
You departed from my life when I was feeling low
When nights were silent and the wind wouldn’t blow
When the stars would flee behind a massive dark cloud
And the moon glared at me with its eyes un-proud

Now my mind is tied in horrifying knots
Raging with misery and my unwanted thoughts
I can’t see clear nor can I think straight
Im crashing into a wall, one full of hate

It stands like steel, lofty above my head
Embed with words, wishing I was dead
But it won’t take long, till’ again I give in
Because Im fighting a war that I know I’ll never win
