Dear Mom & Dad

I am so in love with being your child.
You are the support in my breaking walls.
You've built me a home.
Now, I'm alone,
fighting battles of my own.
But you refuse to let go.
You have shown me the beauty of life.
There is no waste in your timely sacrifice.
My roads keep twisting and turning
but you keep me from swerving,
wrecking tragically.
Can you see?
I am your greatest masterpiece.
I'm imperfect with many flaws
but I am your child,
I will always belong.
Words cannot explain
the gratitude that I contain.
I've gotten myself into trouble again,
but you are my wings.
The angels when no one else is listening.
